What about aliens?
What about aliens? What about you and me and…
What about… Me? I am just a regular guy, who loves technology, games and just about everything I have done in my life.I can tell you I am in my late thirties, I was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. I am Bilingual, which means I can think in one language and speak or write in a completely different one. I know how to read and write, curse, insult or romance in Spanish or English with no deficiencies whatsoever. It think its one of the greatest advantages of being Puerto Rican and a citizen of the USA. How many Americans you know dominate two languages from birth?
I studied Computer Engineering, back in the day, when it was fun to be a hacker. Now you have to walk nameless and transparent because just about every script kiddie, mp3 ripper or someone who found out the password was “god” in a toilet bathroom, calls themselves a hacker. I on the other hand, rode the lightning, my sports car was the baud and I lived ferociously by it. Who said a geek couldn’t be a jock? Me and my friends in -dPS- had the best of fun back then because no one knew what the hell we were doing. It became such an inspiration, that it pushed us to do what we do now. We are passionate about technology and we will continue to be so till the very end. I can only figure myself + my friends at 80 and still ride that lightning…
I lived a while in Puerto Rico, worked with Microsoft, had my own consulting business, for a while all was good. Then an opportunity knocked at my door and before anyone knew it I was living in Maryland. The reason I came to Maryland was a sentimental one, but like somethings in life it didnt lasted long. But for me being here was like me being in another world, I liked it and I wasn’t leaving. I did had to work from the ground up doing shit work, but then I landed the job I always wanted, in a challenging place working with very intelligent and challenging people.
You are probably wondering why if i am bilingual and Puerto Rican, I am writing in english? Well the answer is simple, I like writing in both Español and English. But for now I know my main audience is going to be bilingual, and since most people in the USA don’t speak spanish I have to forcemyself to write in English.
Update:
On February 27th 2009 my wife, Danielle and I moved to Texas. We have been living here since February 28th 2009. We have a nice apartment in Plano, and I work for Computer Sciences Corporation as Tech Support L1, for Toyota Financial Services. Its a boring job, but it pays the bills.
Danielle as wife’s go is totally boss. She is the cheese to my macaroni.
